Lieutenant Colonel Chad Gowing
Chad Gowing was born in Topeka, Kansas. Chad Gowing graduated enlisted in the Marine Corps in October 1998. Private First Class Gowing become an Aviation Navigation Communication Intermediate Electrical Technician and graduated in December 1999.
Lance Corporal Gowing was assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 14 from January 2000 through August 2003.
Corporal Gowing reported to Broaden Opportunity Officer Selection Training (BOOST) in Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island from August 2003 through June 2004.
Sergeant Gowing then attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics in May 2006.
Second Lieutenant Gowing attended The Basic School (TBS) from June 2006 to January 2007. He then attended the Ground Supply Officers Course from January through May 2007. Second Lieutenant Gowing was assigned to 3rd Supply Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 35 from June 2007 through February 2008.
Second Lieutenant Gowing reported to 9th Engineer Support Battalion from February 2008 through April 2009 deploying to OIF. First Lieutenant Gowing reported to Marine Wing Support Group 27 (MWSG-27) from April 2009 through June 2010.
First Lieutenant Gowing was an individual augment to International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) from June 2010 through December 2010.
Captain Gowing then returned to MWSG-27 in December of 2010 through September 2011 and deployed to Expeditionary Strike Group-5 until April of 2012.
Captain Gowing reported to Ground Supply School, Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools from June 2012 through September 2015.
Captain Gowing reported to 10th Marines, 2d Marine Division from October 2015 through June 2016.
Major Gowing reported to Marine Aircraft Group 14 from June 2016 through July 2018.
Major Gowing reported to Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade from July 2018 through July 2019.
Major Gowing reported to II Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion (II MSB) from July 2019 through July 2021. Major Gowing reported to II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) from July 2021 through June 2022.
Lieutenant Colonel Gowing reported to Field Supply Maintenance and Analysis Office East (FSMAO-E) from June 2022 through June 2025.
Lieutenant Colonel Gowing assumed his current duties as the Commanding Officer of Financial Management School, Camp Johnson, North Carolina in July 2025.
