The Marine Corps Water Survival School (MCWSS) serves to train Marines and Sailors to perform duties as Marine Corps Instructors of Water Survival (MCIWS). MCWSS also acts as the center for resolution of all water survival training issues and the management of the water survival training program.

Messing is available. Billeting arrangements are the responsibility of the student. Students should attend the school on funded orders.
Report to Bldg M139 (Training Tank) at 0600 on the convening date of the class.
Bring: Students need to bring a copy of their orders to attend, copy of risk management training, and a copy of their BIR/BTR, ID card, goggles, and swim trunks for males or one-piece swim suit for females on the first day of the course.
The first training event is a confirmation of the prescreening requirements.
Military PT clothing will be worn for periods of classroom instruction; however, appropriate uniforms should be available in case it becomes necessary to go to other areas of the base. Personnel who do not meet ALL prerequisites will not be enrolled in the course and will be returned to their parent command. - For any other amplifying information please go to MCTIMS.
