Commanding Officer, Ground Supply School
Lieutenant Colonel James J. Blaul
LtCol James Blaul is the Commanding Officer, Ground Supply School, MCCSSS. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Assistant Chief of Staff, G-10 (Force Preservation), 2d Marine Logistics Group.  Originally from Wisconsin, LtCol Blaul enlisted in 2004 into the Marine Corps Reserves as a Bulk Fueler and served out of Green Bay, WI.  He graduated from Lakeland University in 2007 and commissioned in 2009.

LtCol Blaul has served as a ground supply officer across the Marine Air Ground Task Force, including 2d Supply Bn, 3d Marine Division, Combat Logistics Battalion 453, Marine Air Control Group 28, and 2d Marine Aircraft Wing.  He has commanded Headquarters and Service Company, 2d Supply Battalion; Inspector Instructor Site Commander Det. 2 Supply Company, CLB-453; and Personnel Support Detachment 28, MACG-28.  LtCol Blaul also served at Weapons and Field Training Battalion, MCRD Parris Island as the Supply Officer, Logistics officer, and Shooting Team Officer in Charge.

His operational staff assignments include 3d Marine Division G-4 Materiel Readiness Branch, 2d Marine Aircraft Wing G-4 Materiel Readiness Branch, and 2d Marine Logistics Group G-10.  He is a graduate of Expeditionary Warfare School (distance), Command and Staff College (distance and resident), and holds the following degrees: Bachelors of Criminal Justice from Lakeland University, Master of Military Studies from Marine Corps University, and a Master of Business Administration from New England College.  His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Selected Marine Corps Reserve Medal, President’s Hundred Rifle Tab, and Distinguished Pistol Shot badge.
