First Sergeant William A. Randle
First Sergeant Randle was born August 9, 1989 in Los Alamitos, CA. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in August of 2007. First Sergeant Randle attended boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California and graduated from Second Recruit Training Battalion in November of 2007. He was then transferred to Camp Pendleton, California where he was assigned to School of Infantry (SOI) West, Infantry Training Battalion (ITB) and subsequently trained as a 0311, Rifleman.
In February of 2008, upon completion of ITB, Private First Class (PFC) Randle was assigned to Marine Corps Security Force Training Company (MCSFTC), Chesapeake, Virginia. Upon completion of MCSFTC he had earned the Military Occupational Specialty of Basic Marine Security Guard 8152, and in April of 2008, he was assigned to Second Platoon, First Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team (I FAST) Company, Marine Corps Security Forces Battalion, Camp Allen, Norfolk, Virginia. While Stationed there, Lance Corporal Randle deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for three months, Yokosuka, Japan for seven months, and Haiti in support of Operation Unified Response for two months.
In April of 2010, he was promoted to Corporal and was assigned to 2d Battalion, 4th Marines, Camp Pendleton, California. In July of 2010, Corporal Randle attended Infantry Squad Leaders Course and following graduation he was assigned as a squad leader. Corporal Randle deployed in August of 2011 to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) as a Squad Leader in the Marine Integrated Training Team where he would take part in training the Afghanistan Police and Army throughout the deployment. Upon returning from deployment in March of 2012, he was promoted to the Rank of Sergeant in April of 2012.
In July of 2012, Sergeant Randle attended Marine Combat Instructor School-West, Camp Pendleton, California and was subsequently assigned to Alpha Company, Infantry Training Battalion. Sergeant Randle served as a troop handler and a platoon sergeant during his six cycles with Alpha Company, and also earned Combat Instructor of the cycle for one cycle. After his time in the training company, Sergeant Randle was transferred to Headquarters and Instructor Company to serve as a platform instructor. While there, Sergeant Randle was the lead instructor for both the M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle and Offensive Operations.
In July of 2015, Sergeant Randle was transferred to 2d Battalion, 1st Marines, Camp Pendleton, CA. Sergeant Randle served as a Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant in Golf Company during the work-up for the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and would later deploy as a Squad Leader throughout the MEU. Upon returning back from the MEU, Sergeant Randle was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and transferred to Fox Company where he would serve as a Platoon Sergeant. In January of 2017, Staff Sergeant Randle attended Infantry Unit Leaders Course (IULC) and upon graduation, he earned the MOS, 0369. After graduating IULC, Staff Sergeant would deploy with Fox Company as a Platoon Sergeant on the Unit Deployment Program (UDP) 18.1.
In August of 2018, Staff Sergeant Randle attended the Basic Recruiters Course at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California. Upon graduation, Staff Sergeant Randle checked into Recruiting Station (RS) San Antonio, Recruiting Sub-Station Austin South in November of 2018. While serving as a canvassing recruiter, Staff Sergeant Randle had earned numerous awards and accolades throughout his time there to include FY21 Recruiter of the Year for RS San Antonio. In February of 2021, he was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
In December of 2021, Gunnery Sergeant Randle was transferred to 2d Battalion, 2d Marines at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Gunnery Sergeant Randle assumed the duties of both Operations Chief and Combined Anti-Armor Team (CAAT) Platoon Sergeant in Weapons Company for the first four months there. For the remainder of the work-up for the UDP, Gunnery Sergeant Randle would serve as the CAAT Platoon Sergeant and then later deploy on UDP 23.2 as the CAAT Platoon Commander. Upon returning back from the UDP, Gunnery Sergeant Randle was then transferred to the S3 to serve as the Assistant Battalion Operations Chief. In November of 2024, Gunnery Sergeant Randle was selected to the rank of First Sergeant.
On 14 March 2025, Gunnery Sergeant Randle was frocked to First Sergeant and then transferred to his current billet as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the Personnel Administration School, Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, Camp Johnson, NC.
First Sergeant Randle is married to Theresa Randle and has two children.
First Sergeant Randle's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4th Award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3rd Award), and various other Unit, Service, and Campaign awards.
First Sergeant Randle is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Management.
