Where will the Marines go after graduating their Military Occupational Specialty School at Camp Johnson? In the Marines Corps Combat Service Support field they could go anywhere in the world. Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools (MCCSSS), Camp Johnson is home to Logistics Operations School, Ground Supply School, Financial Management School, and Personnel Administration School. Each year MCCSSS graduates more than 10,000 logistics Marines proudly serving around the globe. "A lot of entry-level Marines that come here don't fully understand all the opportunities that await them in the FMF, in any clime and place, world-wide," said Col. James L. Shelton Jr., Commanding Officer, MCCSSS. "The opportunities in the Combat Service Support field are endless. MCCSSS is truly the gateway to the world." U.S. Marines, Sailors, Airmen, and civilians with Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, attend the Illuminate Thinkshop held aboard Camp Johnson, N.C., March 16, 2019.The program is meant to strengthen participant brainstorming and team-building skills that allow participants to explore and expand their creative problem solving potential in order to improve the critical thinking skills of Marines of all ranks.

A video to inform Marines about the six functional areas of Marine Leader development, also known as the “six f’s.” The six f’s are fidelity, fighter, finances, family, future, and fitness. Marines are encouraged to set goals within each area in order to be an effective leader.

U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Michael Rocco, the Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, visited the Personnel Administration School, at Camp Johnson, N.C., Jan. 23, 2019. Lt. Gen. Michael Rocco visited Camp Johnson to meet with Personnel Administration students, faculty and senior leadership from across the Operational Forces to discuss the future of the Personnel Administration Military Occupational Specialty field.
