Biography

Col DiBella graduated from The College of William and Mary. In 2003 he attended Officer Candidates School and was commissioned a 2ndLt on 28 March. He subsequently attended The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia, and upon graduation was assigned as a Logistics Officer and reported to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina for Logistics Officer’s Course. Upon completion 2ndLt DiBella reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 8 where he was assigned as a Motor Transport Platoon Commander. In February of 2005, 2ndLt DiBella deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) 04-06.

In March of 2005, he was promoted to 1stLt. After returning from deployment, 1stLt DiBella was assigned as the Logistics Officer for Combat Logistics Regiment 2 where he directed all logistical activities within the regiment. In September of 2006, 1stLt DiBella transferred to CLB 6 where he was assigned as the Security Company Commander. In January 2007, 1stLt DiBella deployed to Fallujah, Iraq for OIF 05-07.

In May of 2007, he was promoted to the rank of Captain. After returning from deployment, Capt DiBella became a Project Officer for Logistics Information Systems, Marine Corps Systems Command in Albany, Georgia where he oversaw the operation of the Marine Corps’ supply warehouses management system. From August of 2010 to June of 2011, Capt DiBella attended Expeditionary Warfare School in Quantico, Virginia and upon completion was assigned as the Logistics Officer and Headquarters and Service Company Commander for 2d Battalion, 9th Marines in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. In early December 2012, Capt DiBella deployed to Marjah, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 12.1.  

In June of 2013 he was promoted to Major and reported for duty to the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (OIG). As an OIG Program Analyst, Maj DiBella was a member of the Logistics Assessments Teams and deployed to Afghanistan to evaluate the progress made by U.S. and Coalition forces to train, advise, and assist in the development of an enduring logistics sustainment capability for the Afghan National Army and Afghan National Police. In July 2016 Maj DiBella reported to the Marine Corps University to attend Command and Staff College for the 2016-2017 academic year. Following his completion of Command and Staff College in June 2017, Maj DiBella reported to 2d Transportation Support Battalion where he served as the Operations Officer and Executive Officer. In July of 2019, Maj DiBella reported to Marine Corps Installations – East and was assigned as the Director of Safety. On 1 October 2019, Maj DiBella was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. 

On 21 May 2020, LtCol DiBella assumed command of Logistics Operations School. After relinquishing command in July 2022, LtCol DiBella reported to the Secretary of Defense Executive Fellowship Program for completion of Top-Level School. During this time, he was assigned to the Chief Human Resource Officer for Biogen Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

In July 2023, LtCol DiBella reported to USEUCOM as the Wargaming Branch Chief. On 12 June 2024, he assumed the duties of the Joint Exercises Division Chief and was promoted to his current rank on 1 September 2024.

On 10 July 2026, Col DiBella assumed command of Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, Camp Johnson, North Carolina.
